A participatory encyclopedia
of the human palm
A shared archive where every palm can become a small symbolic document.
HandsBook is the first participatory encyclopedia of human palms. Anyone can upload a photo of their hand and receive a first-draft symbolic reading generated by AI, which they then review, edit and approve before publication. The result: a bilingual EN/IT public, cumulative archive where palm readers, researchers and curious readers can compare real hands with their stories.
Un archivio condiviso dove ogni palmo può diventare un piccolo documento simbolico. Con Vol. 0 il progetto diventa un libro stampato in tiratura limitata: 100 mani, 100 letture, un'unica raccolta editoriale.

Your questions
When does the campaign launch?
The official launch date will be published here. Write to hello@handsbook.it (or use the "Launch notification" box below) to be alerted the moment the campaign goes live.
La data ufficiale di lancio sarà pubblicata qui e comunicata via email a chi si iscrive alla notifica su Kickstarter.
How do I get my hand into the book?
Choose a reward from 175 € upward (Featured Hand, Collector, Portrait or Patron). Within a month of campaign end you'll receive a form to upload your palm photo, choose your bio and review the AI reading draft before print.
Scegli una ricompensa dalla 175 € in su per avere la tua mano nel libro stampato.
Does AI predict my future?
No. HandsBook makes no predictions. AI generates a first-draft symbolic reading based on historical chirology; the reading is a cultural and biographical exercise, not divinatory. You always review and approve the text before publication.
HandsBook non fa predizioni. È un progetto culturale, biografico ed editoriale.
What happens to my photos and my data?
Photos remain yours. They are only used to publish your reading on the site and — if you chose Featured Hand — in the book. No AI training on user photos. No biometric templates. Legal basis: explicit consent (GDPR art. 9(2)(a)), revocable anytime.
Le foto restano di tua proprietà. Nessun training AI su foto utenti. Consenso esplicito revocabile.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Physical rewards ship after Mar 2027. Italy via tracked courier (BRT/GLS). International tiers include worldwide DHL/GLS shipping.
Sì. Spedizioni Italia tracciate; internazionali via DHL/GLS.
What if the campaign fails to fund?
Kickstarter is all-or-nothing. If the goal is not reached, no charges apply and the project stops. In that case, HandsBook continues as a site and online archive, and we may relaunch.
Kickstarter è tutto o niente. Se non finanziato, nessun addebito.
